It all starts with a love for the planet and an earnest desire to see it thrive. Clean waters, fresh breezes, lush landscapes, robust wildlife. This is where most of us find serenity, a few moments of peace, and enjoy the beauty of it all. In a fast-moving world that is getting smaller, these things can be easily taken for granted. The overuse of plastics, the unnecessary addition of many chemical ingredients, the harming of animals for our benefit, and unsustainable packaging are some of the issues that must be examined. While modern industrialization has afforded great advancements, conveniences, and a thriving economy, it continues to come at a hefty ecological and physiological price. The reality is that many products used eventually flow down the drain to the rivers and oceans. Plastics are choking the planet. Deforestation is robbing it of its lungs. We are losing our wildlife. And, though some of these occurrences can be attributed to the normal ebb and flow of nature, there is no doubt that our practices are quickly speeding things along. Companies and manufacturers should consider their production and retail practices. Care should be given to the kinds of products manufactured and sold, and their lingering effects.
While population demand and density deem some things necessary, there is much that can be done to curb our impact. Dunnock And Hinny is dedicated to conscientious practices and continued evolution as we learn more. We don’t have to stop progress but we can give the planet, and us, time to heal and recover…one great bar of soap at a time.

Every ingredient is considered when being added to our products.
Pure Essential Oils
Essential oils are a foundation ingredient and used in a large portion of our products. Unfortunately, some essential oils are too delicate to survive the curing phase, in which case, fragrance oils are used to supplement and anchor.
Spices
Spices add a hint of fragrance and color.
Flowers
Flowers and herbs are used to decorate, color and add visually striking details.
Clay & Charcoal
Clays and charcoals add texture, color and that much needed “slip” the shave rounds. They help anchor fragrances as well as impart skin loving properties.
Oils & Butters
Only the highest grade oils and luscious butters are sued. Our shea butter is handmade in Africa and filler oils are never used.
Fragrance Oils
All fragrances used are cruelty free, phthalate free and adhere to California’s Prop 65. Some fragrances are full fragrance oils, all natural fragrance oils or a mix of fragrance oils and essential oils. Fragrance oils are used to replace delicate essential oils or to supplement and anchor essential oils.
